サワイダイスケは「接続」をテーマとした作品を発表しています。スケートボードから多大な影響を受けて制作を始めたサワイは、スケートボードデッキの燃えているグラフィックデザインやブランドロゴ、火をモチーフとした企業キャラクターなど、スケートボードカルチャーに散見する火を用いたグラフィックデザインが当たり前に存在している生活が起点となり、この実体験が火という存在について考える契機となりました。
火にまつわる信仰や風習に用いられる火の存在を「異界と接続する触媒」という観点で捉えることで、絶えず拡張する文明と「接続」を続ける人間の憂鬱と賛美を表現しようと試みています。

He began his work with great influence from skateboarding. This real-life experience is based on a life where graphic designs using fire are commonplace in skateboarding culture,
such as burning graphic designs on skateboard decks, brand logos, and corporate characters with fire motifs. It gave me an opportunity to think about the existence of fire.
By reconsidering the existence of fire, which is used in fire-related beliefs and customs, from the perspective of a ''catalyst that connects to another world'',
I attempt to express the melancholy and admiration of humans who continue to ''connection'' with an ever-expanding civilization.
